Know Amyloidosis. Recognize the Signs. Protect Lives.
About Me
My name is Srinika Rimmalapudi
My name is Srinika, and I am a student passionate about medicine, research, and community health awareness. My interest in amyloidosis began with my grandfather, who passed away after battling this rare disease. Seeing how amyloidosis affected multiple organs and was difficult to recognize showed me how important early diagnosis and awareness can be.
Through my experiences in HOSA, hospital volunteering, Future Medical Leaders of America, science research, and community service, I have developed a deeper understanding of patient care, medical education, and the challenges families face when dealing with complex health conditions. These experiences inspired me to create Know-Amyloidosis.org.
My goal is to make amyloidosis easier to understand for families, caregivers, students, and medical professionals. By sharing research, resources, and awareness campaigns, I hope to help more people recognize the signs earlier, and seek treatment before it's too late.

Using medical research to better understand rare disease, early diagnosis, and organ impact.
Research on Amyloidosis
Developing a research paper on amyloidosis under the guidance of Dr. Jobin Varkey, Professor at USC. My research focuses on understanding amyloidosis as a rare disease, how it affects the body, and why early diagnosis is so important.
Through this work, I am learning how to study medical literature, analyze rare disease patterns, and explain complex health information in a simple way. My goal is to use research as a tool to educate families, caregivers, and medical professionals about amyloidosis and why early recognition matters.
